Prerequisite or concurrent enrollment: PSY 101.
Introductory orientation to the psychology of human
behavior related to substance use, abuse, and
dependence; aims and methods of psychological
investigation; the impact of alcohol and drug use on
the individual, family, and community. A review of
alcohol, prescription medications, over-the-counter
medications, and illegal substances is examined and
discussed.
